I also agree that the cooking time is not right on this! I went 18 minutes, then 10 more, and now another 10 more. Thankfully the edge is not getting totally burnt, and no doubt this will be incredibly tasty, but I am kinda getting impatient waiting on this recipe! I am cooking in an black cast iron at 350.

Love this recipe! Been making it for over a decade. I usually have to leave it in the oven for a few extra minutes but that just might be my oven.

I was craving chocolate chip cookies last night and decided to use this recipe. It was super gooey after the five minute rest, I wasn't sure I did this right. Next day it tasted awesome cold, right out of the refrigerator, soft and chewy! It is super sweet, will definitely make again but with less sugar and maybe leave in oven a bit longer than 20 minutes.

Super easy to mix up in a bowl just as directed. This recipe is tried and true in my house and we love it. For a small group this is exactly the perfect amount of dessert to finish a meal. The only *actual* work is remember not to over defrost the butter in the microwave. But, since I do that all the time, I've learned that melted butter works with this too. Clean up is super quick.

Absolutely amazing! Warm from the oven, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream takes it over the top. So easy and decadent.

Great, easy recipe. I used 1/2 c dark chocolate chips and 1/2 c white chips just for fun. 18 minutes was not long enough, though, in my oven. I put it back in for a couple more minutes and it was perfect!

I've made this twice now - it's so easy!! I make it in the kitchen-aid and it's hardly any work. I did adjust the sugar though. I've found that 1/4 C packed brown sugar, 1/3 C white sugar and 3/4 C chocolate chips is plenty sweet for our tastes. Especially if you're going to top it with some ice cream! 19 minutes in my oven yields the perfect texture. The kids love this recipe!

I've made this a few times and love how quickly it goes together. The taste is classic chocolate chip cookie! But I keep wondering if I'm getting the baking time right. Says to cook until just set, but is it supposed to be that gooey? Seems under baked. Has anyone else had this issue?

This is one delicious and easy to make cookie! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how great it turned out. Love how all the ingredients are easily combined in one bowl and simply spread onto a skillet. Top it with some icing for a birthday cookie cake! I don't know if I'll ever make regular cookies again.

perfect recipe and barely any mess! I assembled the whole thing in my nonstick cake pan in under 10 minutes! Delicious delicious delicious! Rose wonderfully even with whole wheat pastry flour instead of all-purpose (the wwpf before turned my cronuts into hard little rocks) when your baking the final product may seem like not a big batter but it rises by (in my case) maybe a little less than 2 inches. Very pleased!

This throws together so quickly and turned out amazing! I swapped the proportions of the sugars (1/2 C brown and 1/3 C white), did a medley of chocolate bars chopped up (milk, 70% and 85%), and substituted 1/4 C of flour with buckwheat flour for a more toothsome treat that complimented the idea of a rustic cast iron skillet. It took about 8 minutes longer to cook that stated but it's overall amazing. This is a last-minute entertaining keeper. :)

Excellent and easy chocolate chip cookie recipe! I was told it was just like the ones in the mall, only better. I increased ingredients by half to use a 12 inch skillet. It was very rich, maybe just a little too chocolaty, (even for me,) I'll leave out the extra 1/2 cup of chips next time. There will definitely be a next time.

LOVED this recipe! There is less batter here than in other skillet recipes, so overall the cookie is thinner and bakes up better. and yum, that buttery flavor! I will definitely make this again!

OMG ! I just backed it for breakfast, and I can tell you without lying : this Cookies is WONDERFUL ! I only put a fewer part of granulated sugar ( 80 grammes instead of 100). I baked it in a classic circle cake pan. P.S : Sorry for all the mistakes I make, I'm french.

Just made two batches of this. A tip: smooth the batter in the pan with a greased hand, or grease the back of a spoon and smooth batter. Works like a charm. This was just perfect. The flavor is great, and it takes so little time to mix and bake. Will make theses often!

To Mom2wandv - Should work fine, that's the way we made them at your fave cookie store in the mall. Keep an eye on them so they don't burn and turn around pan halfway around after half of cooking time.

I thought this recipe was great. I made it as a birthday cake for my little boy. Had to let it cook a few minutes longer than directed, and then had to be careful not to let it wiggle too much before it was set. It turned out to be a tasty, quick, and easy cake.

A perfect quick treat especially with a scoop of ice cream. I'll probably use this recipe to make chocolate chip cookies from now on since I cook for two.

This is not good. It hardly fills the skillet and way too much butter/flour ratio. I will delete this recipe from my collection.

Awesome! Way easier to make this then waiting through putting a whole batch in the oven over the course of an hour. We have a dairy allergy in our home so we replaced better with vegan substitute and swapped out chocolate chips with butterscotch. Worked great and was delicious!

Does it have to be a cast iron pan? I have a good ten inch non-stick, would that work?
